Zoe in her garden

Farmed raised herself, Mother Nature Gardens owner, Zoe Wilcox Edrington cannot remember a time that she did not garden.  Zoe has studied and worked in dry-lands permaculture for seven years, beginning with a five month study in western Australia and formal study at the Crystal Waters Permaculture Village.  From 2003-2005, she worked in Zambia, Africa, first with the U.S. Peace Corps and then remained in the remote village, Masase, without running water or electricity for an additional year to study and teach alternatives to slash and burn agriculture.  Her seven part workshop, Sustainable Agriculture, was taught in a dozen villages before her departure from the country.  She sold her work to the U.S. Peace Corps, creating a sustainable agriculture curriculum taught to incoming volunteers during their training.  Upon returning to the States, she moved with her husband to Albuquerque, NM and immediately began working for Soilutions landscaping division, a permaculture-based company.  After three years in Albuquerque, she began Mother Nature Gardens, a business dedicated to connecting people with nature through education and landscaping.

Bard Edrington V

Bard has landscaped with his parents since he was twelve.  A love of nature took him to many places in the world researching birds.  When Bard stops moving for any length of time, however, his hands return to the dirt.  During his two year stay in the bush of Zambia with the U.S. Peace Corps, his passion turned to sustainably growing food.  In Zambia, he taught fish farming and was asked to be teacher and coordinator for the three month Peace Corps training of new volunteers.  He has been landscape manager for the Permaculture company Soilutions for the last two and a half years.
